Abstract :
A novel non-contact battery charger of high power of high efficiency using a self-oscillated soft-switching converter and a high power detachable transformer is proposed. The starting of the oscillation, the stabilizing of the bias voltage and also the soft-switching are obtained by a simple driving circuit which is made of diodes and resistors. Using this converter, we have obtained a non-contact-type battery charger of 98% efficiency, under the condition of 1 kW output
