A Least Squares Fit Method for Precision Evaluation of Waveguide-Resonator Measurements
Abstract :
The resonance frequencies of waveguide resonators, e.g., for the measurement of dielectric constants, are evaluated using a least squares fit method based on the analytic eigenfrequency equation. This yields a reliable estimate of the number of order of the resonances even for long resonators and averages random measurement errors.
