A New Approach to Reactive Current and Reactive Power Measurement in Nonsinusoidal Systems
Abstract :
A simple converter for resolving current or voltage into two orthogonal components-active and reactive-is suggested. It enables the direct measurement of reactive power as defined by Fryze. The converter can be easily extended to a three-phase system.
