Abstract
A simple approximate method for the analysis of demodulator compensating networks is developed which is valid for a large carrier to signal frequency ratio. The method is based on determining suitable modifications to a dc-prototype network. An equivalent network is derived by noting that the poles of the voltage transfer function of both networks are identical, and that the capacitor voltages of the networks differ by a constant factor. The equivalent circuits of a variety of lead, lag and lead-lag networks are derived.
