Abstract
A far infrared (FIR) optically pumped laser including an hybrid waveguide for Stark effect has been constructed. Frequency variations of the 4.25 THz (70 /g=m/m) line of CH3OH versus applied electric voltage have been observed and explained using gain anistropy. This laser has been phase-locked on a saturated fluorescence-stabilized 13CO2 laser at 29.77 THz to allow the realization of new precise optical frequency measurements.
