Abstract :
Design equations and design procedures are derived for components and waveform parameters of the loss-less voltage-clamped class E amplifier with a transformer and a diode. A step-by-step design procedure is shown with a numerical example. The simulation verification for an example circuit is presented. Simulation and experimental results are given to show how the parasitic elements change the waveforms in real situations.
