Abstract :
A new self-balancing comparator for instrument transformers was developed. The instrument is capable of determining the errors of voltage or current transformers with the aid of a calibrated reference standard transformer. A microprocessor is used to enhance the performance of the instrument by controlling the balancing, automatic zero, and calibration routines.
