Abstract :
The future electric supply and demand picture is marked by uncertainty. Forecasts now assume electric demands will be reduced by load management, conservation, and customer-owned generation. Will they be right? Could demand growth outstrip available supply? What must be done to protect the reliability of our vitally important electric supply?
