Abstract
A system is described comprising of an isolated sensor to measure the polarization ellipses of the electric and magnetic vectors in the near field around a transmitting antenna or a scatterer in the frequency range from 0.5 to 10 MHz. The locus of the time-dependent Poynting vector is derived by numerical calculation. Results are displayed as a stereoscopic image.
