Abstract
Tests of maximum usable clock frequency as a function of injection current have been made on six Texas Instruments SBP9989 processors. In addition, the output characteristics for the logic output low condition have also been measured for the HOLDA terminal. All of these measurements were made over the full military temperature range. These tests have shown that the SBP9989, a 16-bit I2L processor with internal signed multiply and divide instructions, will operate at relatively high clock frequencies at low-power levels and consequently is well suited to high-performance low-power instrumentation and digital filtering applications.
