Abstract
The response of a cascade of series tuned circuits to an impulse is mathematically determined. The peak value of this response is examined and found to be approximately E=SG(ω2 -ω1 )/2 where S=impulse strength, G=network gain at the resonant frequency ω, and (ω2 -ω1 ) is the bandwidth at 0.707 down on the voltage characteristic. This peak value is relatively independent of the number of tuned circuits when 5<n<Q/2 where n=number of tuned circuits and Q=ωL/R.
