  • Abstract
The response of a cascade of series tuned circuits to an impulse is mathematically determined. The peak value of this response is examined and found to be approximately E=SG(ω21)/2 where S=impulse strength, G=network gain at the resonant frequency ω, and (ω21) is the bandwidth at 0.707 down on the voltage characteristic. This peak value is relatively independent of the number of tuned circuits when 5<n<Q/2 where n=number of tuned circuits and Q=ωL/R.
