Abstract :
Time variations of fixed wireless channels result from the relative movements of scatterers in the propagating environment. We consider the temporal gain variations of short-range channels due to scattering from wind-blown leaves. In particular, we present a method for estimating the Doppler spectrum from the received signal´s power samples, without requiring the phase information. We then apply the method to the results of measurements we recently conducted on fixed, short-range paths.
