  • Abstract
    We propose and demonstrate an improved optical signal-to-noise ratio monitoring scheme based on a double-resolution arrayed-waveguide grating-based power monitoring circuit concatenating with a tunable periodic notch filter. This device, which can be implemented in an integrated power line carrier, exhibits much higher extinction ratio and dynamic range than current available schemes. It is also less sensitive to spectrum shape of the signal.
