Abstract :
Three alternative feedback networks that can be used in an astable multivibrator for temperature-to-frequency conversion are proposed. Compared to those recently proposed, all of these have fewer components, two have similar performance, whereas the third has improved sensitivity and reduced power dissipation in the thermistor probe compared to the baseline case. Thus the last network is more suitable for measuring high temperature over a wide range.
