Abstract :
In this paper, the electric field inside a steel plate with the AC skin effect is analyzed using a two-dimensional model and the magnetic field outside a steel plate is analyzed using a three-dimensional model. The internal impedance and external inductance of a steel plate at different frequencies are also calculated. Approximate formulas of the internal impedance and external inductance are given for a flat conductor. The effects of the measuring circuit are discussed, and corresponding compensation methods are given. The impedance of the steel plate is measured with an impedance analyzer, and the validity of the theoretical analysis is shown by the results.
