Abstract
The Gabor-Nelson equations are derived for the determination of the magnitudes, directions, and locations of two independent dipoles in a two-dimensional conducting region from boundary potential measurements. Eight equations were derived for the eight unknown quantities. The method was tested by means of two artificial dipoles in a circular dish containing electrolyte.
