Abstract
Computerized medical imaging devices represent dramatic advances in the medical diagnostic armamentarium. The imaging device is only one part of the system that determines the information produced by an imaging test. The diagnostic system includes a number of human-human and human-machine interactions. Attention to human interface design features of imaging equipment can improve the performance of the system.
