Abstract
This paper discusses the design, implementation, and performance of a microprocessor-controlled moving chair for vestibular function testing. The device is simple enough to use for routine clinical testing yet has sufficient performance to pennit research on advanced clinical vestibular tests. Each test procedure is treated as a module in software (and hardware as necessary), and permits easy revision of protocols.
