Abstract
Before the application of computer-aided design to the engineering operations of Babcock-Bristol Ltd., a supplier of process control and instrumentation systems, the company´s business was being obstructed by delays and errors in the production of drawings. However, the company´s own familiarity with computer technology helped it to select, commission and successfully operate a turnkey CAD system, which has proved to be of significant value in over five years of operation.
