  • Abstract
    A recent studyl compares four iterative parameter estimatoin algorithms, using them on three parallel compartment models of the mechanical respiratory system. The results obtained in the above-mentioned study show that one model is, in practice, superior to the other two. This paper emphasizes the reasons for which, in such a work, a similar conclusion was reached and shows how, in reality, two of the models used are characterized by the same input impedance.
