Abstract :
Development of a software facility for complex number operations in the C programming language on the UNIX1 Time-Sharing System is described. This facility enables definition and use of a "complex" data type and includes a rich library of functions for performing operations, elementary functions, and input-output. The facility has been used successfully in several biomedical computing applications.
