Abstract :
A low energy (500 J) discharge at relatively high pressure (kPa) between two cone-shaped electrodes has been studied. The discharge geometry enables the formation of two jets with filaments and a compact plasmoid in the center. The existence of the plasmoid was discovered in our experiments. Electron density and temperature were measured by the standard interferometric, schlieren, and spectroscopic methods. A turbulent structure of the jets and plasmoid was proposed for explanation of the measured values and some turbulent parameters were estimated
