Abstract
The basic installation of the hardware and software components of a CADCAM system forms only a small part of the overall implementation process. The real challenge facing most companies is the modification of the working environment; addressing the procedural, organisational and integration issues which will directly influence a successful implementation. This paper describes the methodology which can be used to help secure maximum benefit from both the initial implementation and the on-going use and development of CADCAM. Key areas such as senior management involvement and the need for company-wide education and training are also considered.
