Abstract
We present a systematic design method for a bilateral nearest neighbor coupling oscillator array. Our goal is to eliminate tuning circuitry in the unit oscillator, and no post-tuning is required for such an array to achieve coherent operation. The method maximizes the locking range of oscillator cells by optimizing the phase slope of the open-loop gain. Experimental result validates the approach.
