Abstract :
The enhanced full-rate (EFR) GSM speech channel operates at the same gross data rate as the existing full-rate channel, TCH-FS. It is an upgrade for the latter in both speech quality and channel robustness. In this investigation. A speech and channel coding scheme is devised to produce almost toll quality speech even in severe channel conditions
