Abstract :
In the present paper we have studied the nonlinear interaction of a Gaussian EM-beam with the electron and ion waves in a collisionless magnetoplasma, and the resulting stimulated Raman and Brillouin scattering. The EM-beam is assumed to be propagating along the static magnetic field as a right/left handed circularly polarized mode. The spatial amplification factors and the temporal growth rates are found to be significantly modified in contrast to a uniform pump.
