Abstract :
We report a hybrid system of nano-optical and mechanical springs. Here, the nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS) folded beams are fabricated as the mechanical spring and the double coupled one-dimensional photonic crystal cavities are used to pump the “optical spring”. The optical spring effect is experimentally observed.
