Abstract :
Four-junction inverted metamorphic solar cells for terrestrial concentrator applications have been grown, fabricated, and tested by EMCORE. Internal test results show measured efficiency in the range of 44.9-47.6% at ~210 Suns, which could be a new world record. Third party verification of these results is currently underway. This paper will focus on the development and characterization of this device with discussion on the testing methodology and its limitations.
