Abstract
An experimental investigation has shown that the equation b=Dpp+4fv gives a better estimate of video FM bandwidth than the Carson bandwidth b=Dpp+2fv. Accurate knowledge of channel bandwidth is required in FM subcarrier multiplexed video distribution systems as it affects the allocation of interchannel spacing.
