Abstract :
In this paper a new current-source proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) is introduced. It is adjustable and does not require any starting current. The circuit is obtained from a mixed translinear loop of only four transistors. A first generation current conveyor is added in order to obtain a floating output current. Its sign and its slope can both be modified from the value of the control current I1 . SPICE simulation results are given, They indicate that the circuit compares favorably with conventional PTAT current sources. Experimental results, which prove to be in agreement with the theory, are also given
