Abstract
The success rate of software system depends upon the type of software development life cycle (SDLC) models that we employ at the time of software development process. In literature, we have identified different types of SDLC models like, agile methods, rapid application development method, and traditional methods; and choosing one of them is not an easy task according to need/criteria of the software projects. Therefore, in order to address this issue, we present a method for the selection of SDLC models using analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Finally, the utilization of the proposed approach is demonstrated with the help of an example.
