Abstract :
A method is presented for calculation of the Joule power losses in a long linear isotropic nonferromagnetic rectangular conductor located in a harmonic transverse magnetic field that is situated in a homogeneous environment. The method links two others: the method of finite elements (for the internal region) and the separation of variables method (for the external region). On the basis of the obtained relationships, numerical calculations were performed, and plots of Joule power losses for the rectangular conductors were made
