Abstract
This paper discusses the performance characteristics of capacitance-coupled intermediate-frequency-amplifier circuits. Double-ended loading is preferred to single-ended loading in order to satisfy practical tolerance requirements. An approximate method is treated for the design of capacitance-coupled attenuating traps for a television intermediate-frequency amplifier. Performance specifications for such an amplifier are considered. Performance characteristics of an amplifier built to conform to the specifications as outlined are shown.
