Abstract :
The author first discusses the issue of acquiring a computer-aided engineering (CAE) workstation for educational uses and then describes a simple circuit design example using industrial CAE tools that are available to the students in a digital circuit design laboratory. The students are required to design, simulate, implement, and test a complex state machine.
