Abstract :
The authors present results on the optically controlled properties of a coplanar Schottky-contact transmission line. It is shown that a phase shift of the order of 90 to 180 degrees /cm is achieved by optically varying the width of the depletion layer, the device acting as a distributed Schottky photodiode.
