Abstract :
The voltage-doubling circuit is again investigated in this paper. The employment of this circuit and the copper-oxide rectifier is due to a consideration of the demands imposed on the unit described. The tube and the copper-oxide rectifier are thus compared in this circuit. Expressions are derived in as simple a manner as possible. Graphs of performance are presented. The application of this circuit to radio transmitters and receivers is discussed. It is realized that some of the facts are well known, but the comparisons are found to be somewhat easier if they are quoted.
