Advertisement: This book consists of a separate Author and Subject Index, followed by three major appendixes. The Index covers all technical items - papers, short communications, abstracts of conference presentations, book reviews, etc. published in the 39 IEEE periodicals in 1976. It also covers all documents issued by the IEEE Standards committee in 1976, and papers from IEEE-sponsored or cosponsored meetings held in 1976. Items from earlier years or from other sources are included if they were commented on or reviewed in a 1976 IEEE publication.
