Abstract :
The success of military operations in the future will depend greatly upon the availability of a communication system of adequate mobility, traffic capacity, and reliability. An analysis of the factors which prohibit the realization of such a system at the present time shows the need for research in all phases of radio communication. A number of the more pressing limitations of existing techniques are discussed to develop the basic research problems.
