Abstract :
This paper discusses the phase differences between the fields of two vertically spaced antennas as a function of transmitter height, receiver height, and distance between transmitter and receiver. The results are applicable to microwave propagation within the line-of-sight region when a direct wave and a ground-reflected wave are present, and have been useful in interpreting phase-difference measurements made by the Electrical Engineering Research Laboratory of the University of Texas.
