Abstract
Some considerations in designing a model for reducing the difference between the tag schedules and the actual power flowing on a transmission circuit in a deregulated network are described. The model forces the actual flow to be as close to the tag schedules as possible in order to minimize the "loop flows" in the system. Model verification in a regression perspective is performed using normal probability plots and residual plots to check the validity of the design. Simulated data is used for validation of the model. Case studies on the IEEE 30-bus test system are provided as an illustrative example.
