Abstract
This paper discusses the work done by the Interservice Radio Propagation Laboratory during World War II. The circumstances leading to the establishment of IRPL are described and the problems which are faced are stated. The measures taken in the solutions of these problems are outlined, and some of the results are presented. Specific services performed by IRPL during the war for the armed forces and commercial companies are recounted.
