  • Abstract
    Semprius manufactures HCPV systems with module efficiencies up to 35.5% at CSTC (validated at Fraunhofer ISE). Production modules have exhibited continuous improvement in efficiency over the past year, and modules with this design has been in the field for more than two years without measurable degradation. Semprius´ commercial ready HCPV systems with aperture areas of 52 m2, 64 m2 and 90 m2 have been in the field for more than a year. This paper describes the alignment tolerance stack-up and the efficiency waterfall charts for one of the systems. Typical AC efficiencies are >30% and performance ratios are ~80% for clear sunny days. Preliminary results from the next generation higher concentration design are also presented.
