Abstract :
This paper investigates the effect of inaccurate SINR estimation on the performance of multi-user scheduling in downlink orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Considering path loss, time and frequency selectivity of the channel, the error statistics of SINR estimation is analyzed. Then, the effect of SINR inaccuracy is evaluated in respect to system throughput and fairness when each user has different error statistics according to channel environments.
