Abstract
The electroretinographic (ERG) responses to a rapid sequence of laser stimuli are modeled by an adaptation function and the superposition of responses to successive stimuli. The adaptation function is a linear high-pass filter followed by a nonlinear circuit. The model-predicted responses are compared with measured responses at four different stimulus intensities and for stimulus rates up to 50 per second. The model is valid for stimulus periods greater than the b-wave latency.
