Abstract
Past investigations in the field of ionospheric-meteorological correlation are reviewed, with special emphasis on ionospheric characteristics correlating with barometric pressure. An attempt to verify past correlations involving pressure has been made with negative results. However, a new correlation is presented between the time-of-occurrence of the maximum F2 critical frequency during a single day and the average daily barometric pressure.
