Abstract :
We investigate a novel technique to improve the conversion efficiency of optical fiber wavelength converter without spectral spread. It is based on synchronous modulations of the signal phase and the pump phase or frequency, and can suppress not only the stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) but also the spread of the converted spectrum.
