Abstract :
Significant improvements of the semiconductive materials and the measurement techniques have been made in the last decades. This article has demonstrated that semiconductive materials with more robust processing properties can be developed. The cleanliness and surface smoothness have been dramatically improved because of continuous attention to raw materials, compounding, and techniques to monitor the quality of the semiconductive material. Both at distribution and transmission voltages, improving semiconductive materials have made vital contributions to the increasing dependability of XLPE cable systems.
