Abstract :
Tests made on diodes at 3,000 Mc and transit times of over one radio-frequency cycle indicate that the space-charge reduction of noise is of the order of 10 to 1. This was true of diodes having tungsten, thoriated-tungsten, and oxide emitters. The magnitude of the noise, as well as the variation with transit time, was found to agree qualitatively with the present theory.
