Abstract
This paper presents the behavior of electric vehicle home charging in distribution system. Since a different charging duration, which depends on behavior and usability of an individual, the 22-kV distribution system voltage could become unbalance and consequently, exceeding the values specified in IEC 61000-2-4:2000-06 standard. From the example loads in the circuit number 4 at HuaHin 3 Substation located in HuaHin district, PrachuapKhiriKhan Province, has been simulated by DIgSILENT PowerFactory to study the relationships among input powers of electric vehicle charging at home, in the phase characteristics of the slope and different duration of each phase of the charging starts and the percentage of voltage unbalance in distribution systems. The results can be used to assess the behavior and impact contributing to the system, troubleshooting and supporting the rise of electric vehicles in the future.
