Abstract :
This paper presents a radar target identification using Cauchy method. Simulations of the radar system with different aircraft models are conducted, in which the Cauchy method was applied in frequency domain for extracting poles. These poles are employed to classify the difference in individual models of the aircrafts. Moreover, the frequency response of radar targets is also converted to time-domain response whose late-time portion is used to extract poles by using the matrix pencil method. The poles obtained from the use of Cauchy method and matrix pencil method are compared to verify the performance of the radar systems.
